Directions

From the Motorway Network

We are located in Stanley which is north Wakefield. From the M62 motorway leave at Junction 30 onto the A642 heading towards Wakefield. It begins as a dual carriageway before merging into one lane. Continue on this road for about half to 2/3 of a mile. You will see a garage (Gordons Tyres) on your left hand site - it is sometimes hidden by trees. Turn right opposite this garage so you are going up the hill. At the top of the hill there is a school on your right and another junction. Turn right at this so you continue up the hill. Carry on up as it bears round to the right again and you will pass Lee Moor Working Mens Club on your left. The next break in the houses is the entrance to Manley Park.

From Leeds City Using the A61
(Leeds-Wakefield Road)

Travel towards Wakefield on the A61 until you drop down the hill at Lofthouse, passing the Golf Club on the right. As the road goes round to the right with The Sun Inn pub in front of you, take the left turn at the traffic lights onto Canal Lane. Continue to the end of this road then turn left, up the hill and Manley Park is within 150 yards on your left.

From Wakefield City Centre Using the A61
(Wakefield-Leeds Road)

Travel towards Leeds on the A61 until you drop down the hill past the Toyota Garage, Valentinos Restaurant and The Sun Inn pub, all on your left. Turn right at the traffic lights (short filter lane) onto Canal Lane. Continue to the end of this road then turn left, up the hill and Manley Park is within 150 yards on your left.

Troubleshooting

On the A642 (Aberford Road) if you reach a pub on your right called the Grove Park you have gone too far. Turn around.
If on this last section you reach a sharp right bend with a pub, The Stanley Arms, in front of you you have gone too far.
If you ask for directions you may be sent to Stanley Rangers Rugby League club. Manley Park is within 100 yards of this, on the opposite side of the road. So don't be too put out.
